Naruto’s secret jinchuuriki training is underway. I find it amusing that Naruto and Bee pulled off the same “My head is cut off!” stunt. Apparently to key to becoming a successful jinchuuriki is to become a goofy, carefree idiot. The other weren’t, and that’s why they died. Clearly.
Anyway, Naruto finally confronts the fox in his mind. The fox has no hold over him now that he’s confronted and accepted his supressed evil side. Naruto set the fox free, and now it’s come down to a chakra Tug O’ War, winner takes all. Bee can’t help much, but Naruto seems ready. He always seems ready. The kyuubi doesn’t look too worried either, but then he’s not the main character, so he probably should be.

For the most part, this is a chapter for Naruto to act like a goofy idiot for our amusement, but learning to control the Kyuubi is a major development nonetheless.
Typical Naruto: he fails to convince Bee to teach him, then actually succeeds somehow by asking him with a terrible rap, but ruins everything by insulting him and tops it off with Harem no Jutsu! But it’s not very effective… you should’ve known dude, you’re a 15-year-old boy. You’re probably going to have a hard time seducing people.
Naruto eventually convinces Bee’s friend to train him by giving him the FIST BUMP~! Fist bumps solveĀ everything, even attacks by giant gorillas.
The chapter ends with naruto fighting his evil doppelganger. He’s been through so many tough things, but he’s largely remained a happy-go-lucky idiot. It seems like he needs to face this part of himself instead of ignoring it in order to have true control over his aggression and draw on the Kyuubi’s power while keeping out its murderous intent. We’ll see if he pulls it off: he’s a very quick learner for an idiot, so he might get this down this pretty fast. Well, on the other hand, he’ll have to learn it just slow enough to stall for a few chapters.
